Bobcat girls end losing streak after narrow win

URBANDALE – The Marshalltown girls basketball team needed a rally and got one after holding Urbandale to just two points in the third quarter during a 38-37 cross division matchup Saturday night.

The Bobcats snapped a four-game losing streak following the win and improved to 3-8 on the season, while Urbandale dropped to 1-9 following the home loss.

Lauren Mazour led the Bobcats with 11 points, while sophomore Sam Hughes also finished in double-figures with 10. Eisha Oden had nine points in the win.

Urbandale was led by Allie Mataloni’s 10 points, while Stephanie Boord finished with eight points.
