Henry Price, 79, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Ferguson Bible Church in Ferguson, Iowa. Henry LaVern Price was born in rural Eldora, Iowa on August 25, 1934; he was the son of Steven and Eva (Sherbohn) Price. Henry attended school in the Conrad community School District graduating with the class of 1953 and then attended Coe College. On June 3, 1955, Henry was united in marriage to Joyce Isenhower; they had lived in Marshalltown until 1972 when they moved to LeGrand area. Henry worked as a carpenter and then began working with overhead garage doors for 19 years until his retirement. Henry enjoyed golfing, fishing, games of all kinds, cards, Yatzee.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Joyce. Children: Jay (Diane) Price of Gilman, Iowa; Douglas (Mel) Price of Marshalltown, Iowa and Phil (Maggie) Price of Crystal Lake, Illinois. Grandchildren: Mindy (Perry) Himes; Matt (Blair) Price; Shelby Price; Randy (Tara) Price; Jill Mundt and Jason Price. Great-grandchildren: Karsyn Price; Kamryn Price; Aubree Mundt; Ava Mundt and step-great-grandchild: Bailey Weaver. Siblings: Clarence Price of Marshalltown, Iowa; Steve (Donna) Price of the Quad City’s; Harvey (Janet) Price of LeGrand, Iowa; Colleen(Jack) Eflin of Gladbrook, Iowa; Loretta (Dick) Hoppe of Boone, Iowa; Helen Smith of Oskaloosa; Leroy (Betty) Price of Arizona; Shirley Dace of Wisconsin; and Larry (Janett) Price of Missouri; JoAnn King of Idaho and Leona Sword of Minnesota.
In death Henry rejoins his parents, Steve and Eva, and siblings, Charles Price, Francis Zeltman.
