Jake and Nicki Reynolds, of Marshalltown, are the parents of a son, Ryker Easton, born Dec. 3, 2012, weighing 6 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 18.75 inches in length. Welcoming Ryker home is big brother, Cohen. Grandparents are Doug and Joy Reynolds, of Higbee, Mo., and Bob and Tam Nichols, of Marshalltown.
Eric and Emily Fricke are the parents of a son, Lincoln Abel Ferguson Fricke, born at 8:28 p.m. Jan. 15 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces and measuring 20 1/4 inches long. Grandparents are Becky Fricke, of Melbourne, and Jean and Mike Ferguson, of Grand Junction. Great-Grandparents are Bon and Shar Fricke, of Marshalltown, and Melva Vint, of Le Grand.
Josh and Amber Capalla, of Marshalltown, are the proud parents of a boy, Jaxton Eugene Capalla born at 3:06 p.m. on Feb. 3 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, weighing 5 pounds, 11ounces and measuring 19 inches in length. Welcoming Jaxton home are sibling: Brayden, Carson, Kinnick and Autumn. Grandparents are Ivan and Mona Paris, of Marshalltown, Deb Hofer (Pat Calhoun), of Collins, Dan Hofer, of Marshalltown, and Bob Carson, of Osceola. Great Grandparents are Don and Darlene Hofer, of Marshalltown, Lyle and Joann Shellburg, of Wisconsin, and Georgia and the late Buck Carson, of Osceola.

Marc Anthony Dolan, 410 E. State St. Apt. #3, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for arraignment charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle his case. The arraignment hearing was rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Feb. 19. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. If Dolan arranges to sign a written arraignment then he will be released on his own recognizance.
Michael Robinson, address unknown, Homeless, made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle his case. The contempt hearing is scheduled at 9:15 a.m. on Feb. 18. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only. The court ordered that if he possessed any firearms or ammunition Robinson is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office upon release and make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.
Roberta Delaware, of Le Grand, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a open container charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. She pleaded guilty to the driving under suspension charge and the no driver’s license charge. On the driving under suspension charge the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $90 in court costs for a total of $427.50. The fine on the no driver’s license charge was $200 with a $70 surcharge, a $5 county enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $335. On both charges the court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning March 6 until the debts are paid. On the open container charge she pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on March 12 in Magistrate Court. On this charge Delaware was released on her own recognizance.
Starr Moeipo Makua, of Des Moines, made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 18. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.
Vincent Charles Steward, of Melbourne, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning March 6 until the debt is paid.
