Teacher trusts Lenihan student to help others
She doesn’t have the title of teacher’s assistant, but Lenihan Intermediate School fifth grader Madi Finch easily could have it.
“If anybody has a question and I’m busy they go to Madi,” said her teacher Sally Jansen.
“They trust her and I trust her.”
Finch, 11, said she takes her school work seriously.
“I want to get into a good college and get a job,” she said.
Her favorite subject is math because “it’s fun and challenging.”
Jansen feels Finch has a bright future if she continues to take responsibility for her work.
“Because she has good social skills, she’ll be successful in whatever she decides to do,” Jansen said.
