Kickbush scores on PK as No. 13 Rebels go to 6-1

REINBECK – The Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys’ soccer team kicked off a four-match homestand with a 1-0 victory over Denver on a frigid Friday evening.

The Rebels, ranked 13th in Class 1A, improved to 6-1 with the win.

The game’s lone goal came on a penalty kick from Camden Kickbush, his second tally of the season. G-R goalkeeper Josh Cooley made three saves in net for the shutout, the team’s third of the season.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck is back at home on Thursday to face Waverly-Shell Rock, and the Rebels entertain Garner-Hayfield/Ventura next Saturday.
