Ellsworth Community College Spring Concert is April 30

IOWA FALLS – The public is invited to the Ellsworth Community College spring concert at 7 p.m. on April 30 in Hamilton Auditorium in Kruse Main Hall on the ECC campus, 1100 College Ave. The free concert will feature the ECC Band, ECC Choir, HarmonyUs, a percussion ensemble, and a piano trio.

“In addition to the groups already listed, we’ll have a special solo performance by Maurie Tomke, our Student Activities Coordinator, Assistant Director of Residence Life, and Assistant Wrestling Coach,” says Anne Sherve-Ose, ECC Associate Professor of Music.

Works performed will include medleys from the musicals Les Miserables and Oliver!; pieces by Haydn, Mozart, Handel, and Duke Ellington, among others; popular music from the 1700s, the 1960s and the 2000s; a love song, a march, part of an oratorio, and a swing number; and songs in Italian and Swahili.

The concert is free and open to the public.
