Marshalltown should be proud of its hospital
While traveling through Iowa I experienced a medical emergency and sought assistance at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. I was seen and treated immediately in the Emergency Room and admitted to the hospital. For the next three days I was taken care of by Dr. Thomas, a great, down to earth type of physician who acted as he had known me forever.
The hospital itself was as nice and modernly equipped as any large hospital in a much larger city. The staff on the 2nd Floor Surgical Unit was outstanding making sure my pain was under control and any other problems were immediately addressed. I would especially like to thank a Nurse, Teresa “S”, who went above and beyond by assisting me in a locating a medication that sometimes takes me days to find by calling pharmacies in the area and arranging my prescription to be filled upon my discharge. Thanks to everyone right down to hospital security who helped me by moving my vehicle to the parking lot and getting my personal items out of it that I needed during my stay.
Residents of Marshalltown and the area can be proud of your hospital and its staff. It is second to no other hospital out there. I only wish I could thank everyone responsible for my care personally. Thank you again and God Bless.
