‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green’

The Orpheum invites you to attend its presentation of “The Odd Life of Timothy Green.” Released in 2012 by Walt Disney Studios, “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” returns to the simplicity of telling a heart-warming family story. Cindy and Jim Green, played by Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton, have been trying to have a child of their own for years, but when it seems like this was not meant to be, the Greens mourn the loss of what will never be by dreaming and writing down their vision of their child. After placing the wishes for their child in a box, Cindy plants the box in their garden.

From this box of lost dreams and hopes, Timothy Green is born. He magically grows from the love of Cindy and Jim and enters their lives as if he was always meant to be. Jim, Cindy and Timothy forge their life together. Centered in a small town filled with hard working and generous family members and neighbors, Timothy Green is a welcomed young man who brings great joy and love to all he encounters.

Written by Peter Hedges, Iowa native and author of “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” is a wonderfully sweet film that focuses on the strength of hope, community and love.

Show times are 7 p.m. on Friday, 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
