Community generous in food drive donations
The Emergency Food Box and Salvation Army would like to thank everyone who so generously donated to the successful food drive that was held May 11. More than 5,200 pounds of food was collected this year for the Salvation Army and the Emergency Food Box.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Marshalltown area and rural letter carriers for the extra work they did in collecting and handling the donated food items. A special thanks to letter carrier, Sandy McRill, who organized this project.
Because of the generosity of so many, we will be able to continue to meet the emergency food needs of persons in Marshall County. Many thanks to each of you.
