Concert series changes name, announces 2013-14 season

After presenting top-flight international touring talent to the community for more than seven decades, the Marshalltown Community Concert Association is changing its name to “Live On Stage Marshalltown.”

The new moniker represents a commitment by the board of directors to adopt a 21st century attitude toward the organization and the product; especially in regard to the changing desires of the concert-going public and how they interact with entertainment. Most notably, Live On Stage Marshalltown has updated its website, including online ticket purchasing and maintains an active Facebook presence.

Bill Fitzgerald, organization president, said, “We have enjoyed great success as a organization, but felt it was time to connect with our community in a new way, to prepare the way for the next wave of performing arts and entertainment in Marshalltown.”

The six-concert Marshalltown series regularly hosts more than 5,000 audience members each year.

Continuing the tradition of excellence in entertainment Live On Stage Marshalltown (LOSM) is launching its season-ticket campaign with the announcement of artists appearing on its 2013-2014 concert series.
