Marshalltown Police Department
On June 19, Vincent Leroy Spoonemore, of Newton, was arrested for harassment of a public officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana-third or subsequent and driving while barred-habitual offender.
On June 20, a vehicle driven by David Ray Dost, 614 E. State St., was southbound on South Center Street approaching the intersection with South Street when it went through the red light and collided with a car driven by Charles Ray Willer, 206 E. South St., which was traveling east on South Street, ricocheted off the Willer car and collided head-on with a car driven by Michelle Ann Owen, 411 Bromley St., which was traveling north on Center Street and slowing for the red light. Owen was possibly injured, but not transported. Dost was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Damage to the Dost vehicle was estimated at $3,000 while the Willer car received an estimated $4,000 in damage and the Owen car an estimated $1,200 in damage.
Marshalltown Fire Department
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a rescue call on South Ninth Avenue, a fire call to 1313 W. Church St. and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 101 Iowa Ave., 407 W. Church St., 1702 S. Seventh Ave., 608 S. Sixth St., 302 N. First St., 609 E. Main St. and 212 Washington St.
