SPORTS SHORTS: Future Redhawk lineman invited to ‘Top Gun’ camp

DUBLIN, Ohio – A future North Tama football player took part in an “invitation-only” camp this past weekend and impressed coaches who were in attendance.

Noah Kaufmann, a freshman-to-be from Traer, attended the Football University “Top Gun” Camp that joined more than 1,000 of the nation’s top athletes at their position and trained with current and former NFL players and coaches.

“Top Gun” is the culmination of Football University’s 40-camp nationwide tour that gathers the most elite performers from across the United States and allows them to compete and display their abilities together in one place.

Kaufmann was invited to the elite invitation-only camp after a strong performance at the regional camp in St. Louis. He first got noticed while playing for the Cedar Valley Flood and later Team Iowa.
