‘Back On Broadway’ to perform Sept. 5
All-time favorites from the Great White Way come alive when “Back On Broadway” takes the stage at 7 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Marshalltown Community High School/Community Auditorium.
Back by popular demand. “Back On Broadway” was created by Matt Davenport Productions following the overwhelming success of “On Broadway” during the 2007-08 concert season. Lightly story-driven, 10 star-struck performers arrive in the Big Apple looking for their big break, along with their new-found book, “How to Succeed on Broadway.”
Through an array of production numbers the show offers an entertaining view of the newest hit shows and all-time classics. MDP has earned a national reputation for creating and producing high-energy, family-friendly production shows.
In addition to national tours, MDP has provided award-winning entertainment for Hersheypark, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld and the award-winning “Country Tonite” in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Alumni of MDP can be seen on Broadway, National Tours and American Idol and as producers, directors and writers in entertainment outlets across the country.
The Marshalltown Community Concert Association is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization presenting world-class entertainment to the Marshalltown Community since 1949. Through the generosity of patrons and sponsors, the MCCA is able to present these concerts at affordable, family-friendly prices.
