Plans underway for Bible study simulcast

Evangelist Beth Moore will be using the power of technology to teach others about the Bible.

Moore, and her Living Proof Ministries will be hosting a global simulcast specifically designed for women Sept. 14.

Marshalltown’s New Hope Christian Church is participating and the public is invited.

Admission is $10, which includes lunch.

Moore, an evangelist since 1978, is a Southern Baptist author, Biblical scholar and founder of Living Proof Ministries.

Joining Moore is fellow evangelist Travis Cottrell.

The program’s mission is to help women from all walks of life to be inspired to know and better understand the Bible, according to New Hope parishioner Marilyn Miller of Marshalltown, who is helping coordinate the event.

“Beth Moore started out as a Sunday School teacher and she has studied and worked diligently to become a renown Bible scholar,” Miller said. “I’ve sat in on her sessions before. She will provide a refreshing and in-depth program for all.”

The church has underwritten the cost of the program as a gift to the community. Miller said response to the program has been excellent and that seats remain.

The church is encouraging pre-registration as soon as possible, so a lunch can be provided for all. Walk-in registrations will be accepted, but lunch not guaranteed.
