Autopsy shows woman in Tama died of stab wounds

TAMA – Authorities say an autopsy shows a woman found dead inside a Tama house died of stab wounds to her neck.

Police and Iowa agents are still investigating the slaying of 32-year-old Kerry O’Clair-Jefferson. Her body was found at the house on Wednesday afternoon. Tama police said she was not a resident but was staying with the people who live at the home.

O’Clair-Jefferson’s mother-in-law, 57-year-old Ginger Jefferson, was taken into custody as a witness. No arrests or charges related to the case have been reported.
