Hospital hires new Chief Financial Officer

After a nationwide search, Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center has hired Hilary Dolbee as its new chief financial officer.

Dolbee arrives in Marshalltown from the Pratt Regional Medical Center in Pratt, Kan., where she served as CFO.

She also previously held the job of CFO at St. Luke Hospital and Living Center in Marion, Kan.

John Hughes, CEO of MMSC, said Dolbee has a proven track record in the field.

“She’s proven herself as an effective financial executive,” Hughes said. “She has a strong passion for excellence, which is important to us.”

Dolbee has a master’s degree in business administration from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan., and a bachelor’s degree in business from Kansas State University in Manhattan.

Dolbee’s first day on the job at MMSC will be Monday. She takes over for Ron Roberson who was serving as interim CFO after Bob Downey’s retirement in August. Downey left after more than 30 years at MMSC.

“Bob served us well for a long time and Ron has also done an excellent job,” Hughes said.
