Supper with Santa event needs support
It is time once again to start planning for the second annual Supper With Santa event in Clemons for area children and families. Last year’s event turned out wonderful, but would not have been possible without donations from businesses and individuals like you. The Clemons Community Building was packed, and everyone had a great time! We are planning on having this year’s Supper With Santa event from 4-7 p.m. on Dec. 1. We are still finalizing the location for this year as we need a bigger building.
Last year, we had a Spaghetti Supper with Santa and Mrs. Claus, there was a drawing for toys for all the children, drawings for gift baskets for families, crafts for the kids, and horse drawn trolley rides for everyone. And of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus handed out all the treat bags. It would be great to do the same this year, but with a chili supper.
In order to ensure the success of this fun event, we are seeking donations to help defray the costs associated with the event. All funds raised will go directly toward the Supper With Santa event with any leftover food or toys going to local charities. Generous donors like you are the key to our success and make this event possible for local children and families. We hope that we can count on your support to help us continue having Supper With Santa.
If you would like to make a monetary donation, toy donation, gift card donation, or items for gift baskets, cookies or bars, or if you have any questions about this event, please contact Tammy Hinders.
Your donation will be listed at the event. Donors names will also be read aloud during the event. Checks can be made out to Tammy Hinders or Clemons City Council. We would like to have all donations collected by Nov. 15 so that we have plenty of time to prepare. We thank you for your time and consideration.
