TAMA – Coreen Hayward died peacefully with her family on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013 at the Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. Her funeral will be Friday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama with Pastor Thomas Dowling officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. A private interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama at a future date.
She is survived by her husband Roderick D. Hayward, of Tama, and their three children, daughter Joan (Pete) Helm, of Toledo; son Michael (Theresa) Hayward, of Tama; and daughter Chris (Rod) Drummer, of Tama; along with her five grandchildren; her three step-grandchildren; and one step-great granddaughter. Other survivors include her sister Catherine Hutchinson, of Columbia, Ky., her brothers James Brock, of Scottsdale, Ariz., Raymond (Mary) Brock, of Bradenton, Fla., and Richard (Linda) Brock, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Memorials may be directed to either St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama or the Iowa Association of the Deaf.
