Panthers’ placekicker picked for FCS award

CEDAR FALLS – University of Northern Iowa senior placekicker Tyler Sievertsen was recently named the College Football Performance Awards FCS National Placekicker of the Week.

Sievertsen finished Saturday’s game against top-ranked North Dakota State with 11 points off three field goals and two extra points. He is now 99-of-99 in career PATS.

The senior converted a career-long 50-yard field goal in the first quarter against the Bison, while also making attempts from 36 and 37 yards. This is Sievertsen’s second player of the week honor after receiving the MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his 14-point performance against Northern Colorado.
