On Dec. 21, Stephen Irvine, 410 N. 16th St., reported damage to two key locks on metal change holders on apartment washing machines and an apartment complex dryer located at 306 Bromley St. (Half). Estimated value of damage was $900.
On Dec. 13, Molly Bisson, 306 Bromley St. Apt. #12, reported the theft of two broken computers and a big screen TV from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $1,200.
On Dec. 22, Mario A. Gonzalez Lemus, 105 S. Seventh Ave., was cited for disturbing the peace with loud music.
On Dec. 21, Kolton Craig Bolar, 605 Walter Circle, was arrested for driving while revoked and operating while intoxicated-second offense.
On Saturday, Dec. 21, Amanda Snider, 201 N. 19th St., was arrested for serious domestic assault.
On Saturday, Dec. 21, Mark Cruz, 207 E. Webster St., was arrested for spitting in a police vehicle and operating while intoxicated-second offense.
On Thursday, Dec. 19, Kody Aaron Miller, 204 S. 16th Ave., was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana with the intent to deliver, tax stamp violation, prohibited acts and neglect of a dependent person.
On Dec. 20, a pickup driven by Thomas Earl Campbell,1013 S. Second St., was westbound in the 300 block of West South Street when it went out of control on the ice covered road and crossed the center of the street where it collided with a pickup driven by Micah Clark Engle, 309 Bryngelson Drive, which was traveling east on South Street. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Campbell pickup was estimated at $10,000 while the Engle pickup received an estimated $5,000 in damage.
On Dec. 20, a car driven by Pau Lian Kim, 110 S. Second St. Apt. #1, was eastbound in the 1000 block of Swayze Street attempting to turn south onto 11th Avenue when it slide on the icy roadway and collided broad-side with a vehicle driven by Juan Mendoza-Garcia, 901 S. 12th Ave., which was stopped at the stop sign. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kim car was estimated at $1,000 while the Mendoza-Garcia vehicle received an estimated $700 in damage.
On Dec. 20, a vehicle driven by Benjamin Thomas Wertzberger, 1201 W. State St., was driving south on the Nicholas Drive attempting to cross the Center Street Frontage Road at the same time a car driven by Chelsea Marie Carnes, of Albion, was entering the intersection from the stop sign on the Center Street Frontage Road and the two vehicles collided. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Wertzberger vehicle was estimated at $1,000 while the Carnes car received an estimated $1,500 in damage.
On Dec. 20, a vehicle driven by Kenneth L. Burke, 8 S. Ninth St., was northbound on South Center Street approaching the intersection with Linn Street when it entered the intersection and collided with a minivan driven by Vivian Marian Burley, 412 N. Fourth St., which was eastbound through the intersection on a green light. No injuries were reported. Burke was cited for no insurance and failure to obey a traffic control device while Burley was cited for expired license and no insurance. Damage to the Burke vehicle was estimated $7,500 while the Burley minivan received an estimated $5,000 in damage.
On Dec. 20, a minivan driven by Jodi Lynnette Boucher, 106 N. 16th St., was southbound in the 10 block of North 16th Street, accelerating up an incline to the stop sign at Main Street when the icy road conditions caused it to slide into the rear of a legally parked car. No injuries were reported. Damage to vehicles was estimated at $2,500 each.
On Friday, Dec. 20, a city bus driven by Michael Wayne Wilson, 610 Marion St., was southbound in the 200 block of 13th Street when it went into a slide on the icy roadway continuing off the road at the 13th and Fremont Streets intersection striking a fire hydrant. No injuries were reported. Damage to the bus was estimated at $254 while the fire hydrant received an estimated $60 in damage.
On Thursday, Dec. 19, a Schwann’s truck driven by David James Place, of Hampton, was traveling in the 2600 block of Summit Street when, due to icy road conditions and other vehicles stuck on the roadway, it proceeded to go into a slide from a stopped position, went onto the shoulder and rolled down the embankment coming to rest on the driver’s side. An officer on the scene made contact with the driver and assisted him out of the truck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Schwann’s truck was estimated at $2,500.
On Monday, Dec. 16, a vehicle driven by an as yet unknown driver was exiting a parking spot in the Walmart parking lot when it backed into a legally parked vehicle, left the scene traveling the wrong way through the parking lot and striking a shopping cart causing it to collide with a legally parked pickup. No injuries were reported. Damage to the offending vehicle was estimated at $1,000 while the legally parked vehicle received an estimated $200 in damage and the legally parked pickup an estimated $500 in damage.
On Thursday, Dec. 12, a vehicle driven by Jesus Colunga Silva, 804 W. State St., was eastbound on Marshalltown Boulevard/Lincoln Way when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Colunga Silva vehicle was estimated at $7,500.
