Monday

Mason McKay Reilly, of Gilbert, made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge and a trespass charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Jan. 17. Reilly was released on his own recognizance.

Candice Jo Fisher, 1401 S. 17th Ave., made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge and a burglary-third degree charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Jan. 9. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Jerry Waltemeyer, of State Center, made an initial appearance on a failure to display registration plates charge and a improper rear lamp charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 4 in Magistrate Court.

Scott Louis Hafner, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days of today’s date.

Don Junior, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a alcohol in the park charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days of today’s date.

Tuesday

Jeremy Dean Davis, 804 W. Nevada St., made an initial appearance on a burglary-third degree charge and a theft-second degree charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Jan. 10. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

Jennifer Marie Mogler, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a aggravated domestic abuse charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Jan. 20. Mogler was released on her own recognizance. The court ordered that if she owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition, Mogler is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Vana Ilene Brown, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $80 in court costs for a total of $417.50, due within 30 days of today’s date or it will be turned over to collections.

Incidents

On Sunday, Jeanette Heil, 1112 Prairie Lane, reported BB gunshot damage to the front passenger side window on a 2010 Jeep Compass while parked at her residence. Estimated value of damage was $100.

On Sunday, an employee with Tropical Tans, 2501 S. Center St. F, reported damage to the glass entrance doors on the west side. Estimated value of damage was $2,000.

On Saturday, an employee with Mike’s Bike and Fitness, 117 W. Main St., reported the theft of a ladies purse while at the shop. Estimated value of loss was $300.

On Friday, Cody Michael Younkin, of Marengo, reported the theft of an Apple iPad 3rd generation from 1007 W. Nevada St. Estimated value of loss was $675.

On Friday, a citizen reported the cashing of forged checks in the amount of $1,827 at 910 S. 12th Ave.

On Thursday, Alejandra Gonzales, 103 S. Fourth St., reported the theft of a Samsung Galaxy 4 and cash from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $300.

On Dec. 25, Nathan Gruver, of Ankeny, reported hit and run damage to the driver’s side rear bumper on a Chevy Tahoe while parked at 1002 Ratcliffe Drive. Estimated value of damage was $600.

On Dec. 22, Sandra Kay Johnson, 902 N. Fifth Ave., reported the theft of a Jamar 1 axle trailer from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $800,

On Sunday, Nicole Lynn Walters, 220 Glenda Drive Apt. #8, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana.

On Sunday, Blane Steven Kitzman, of Gilman, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Sunday, Brett Schuylar Anderson, of Albion, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana and operating while intoxicated.

On Saturday, Steven Alvarez, 501 Thomas Drive Apt. East, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

On Saturday, Ira Wanatee, of Montour, was arrested for public intoxication-enhanced and interference with official acts.

On Friday, Logan Nathaniel Bear, 505 N. 13th Ave., was arrested for serious assault.
