Woman stabs cousin with tweezers
A local woman who allegedly stabbed her cousin in the arm with tweezers has been arrested.
Jennifer M. Mogler, 26, was arrested Monday, at her home on the 200 block of North 11th Avenue, after an argument between the two led to the alleged assault.
Police say her cousin received a small injury to his right arm, but did not require any hospitalization. Mogler is charged with aggravated domestic assault.

On Wednesday, an employee with Angel’s, 20 E. Main St., reported damage to a glass front door by a plastic bucket filled with sand. Estimated value of damage was $600.
On Tuesday, Darren Lee Grimm, 302 Bromley St. (Half), reported the theft of dishware and food from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $100.
On Tuesday, Anthony Mason, 307 S. First St. Apt. #3, reported the theft of an Apple iPhone 5. Estimated value of loss was $200.
On Tuesday, Luis Mora-Garcia, 502 Eastview Road, reported damage to the driver’s side rear window on a 2000 Nissan Sentra while parked at 2805 S. Center St., and the theft of a set of tools, a tool box and an iPod input cable. Estimated value of loss was $455.
On Monday, Jose J. Cruz, 1403 Woodbury St., reported the theft of an iPhone 5 while at 1010 Lincoln Way. Estimated value of loss was $200.
On Wednesday, Tyler Jade Jordan, 801 N. Fourth St., was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.
On Wednesday, Baron Barjolo, 620 Union St., was arrested for public intoxication.
On Tuesday, Joseph Michael Witte, 911 W. State St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Monday, Jennifer Marie Mogler, 214 N. 11th Ave., was arrested for aggravated domestic assault.
On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Marvin Lamar Halverson, 604 S. Sixth St., was northbound on South Sixth Street approaching the intersection with West Olive Street and a vehicle driven by Michael Dean Emerson, 206 Thunderbird Drive, was southbound on South Sixth Street at the intersection with West Olive Street attempting to turn left onto Olive. As the light turned yellow both vehicles assumed the other would stop, both vehicle continued going forward or turning left and the two collided in the intersection. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Halverson pickup was estimated at $4,000 while the Emerson vehicle received an estimated $5,000 in damage.
On Tuesday, a car driven by Carlton Dean Kothenbeutal, 406 N. Ninth St., was southbound on Fourth Street approaching the intersection with Summit Street when the icy road conditions at the stop sign aided it in sliding into the intersection and colliding with a car driven by Heather Ann Karns, 702 Swayze St., which was traveling east on Summit. No injuries were reported. Karns was cited for no insurance-accident. Damage to the Kothenbeutal car was estimated at $2,000 while the Karns car received an estimated $4,000 in damage.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke or odor removal at 614 N. Fourth Ave., and two medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1008 S. Sixth St., and 1604 Marion St.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two dispatched/cancelled en route at 212 W. Ingledue St., and 312 E. Main St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 101 Byron St., 206 Nicholas Drive, 107 W. Grant St., 1720 S. Center St., and 101 W. Iowa Ave.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a overheated motor at 805 E. High St., a smoke or odor removal at 1805 Fremont St., a smoke detector activation due to malfunction at 301 S. First Ave., and 13 medical assists with the EMS crew to: 918 S. 11th Ave., 1211 W. State St., 304 Melody Lane, 204 N. 12th Ave., 122 W. Main St., 203 NewCastle Road, 202 N. Second Ave., 709 Summit St., 304 Nicholas Drive, 412 Sharon Ave., 11A N. First Ave., 301 S. Second St., and 604 1/2 W. Church St.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 411 S. Ninth St., 305 Sharon Ave., 8 S. Fifth Ave., 811 W. Main St., 3315 S. Center St., and 209 E. Main St.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 504 W. Church St., 109 S. Center St., and 1706 S. Seventh Ave.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two extrication of victims on Oaks Avenue and at 202 S. State St., a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 1602 S. Second Ave., a motor vehicle accident, no injuries on South Ninth Street and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 412 Sharon Ave., 101 NewCastle Road, and 619 Ratcliffe Drive.
The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide incident at 401 Friendly Drive, an alarm system activation-no fire-unintentional at 402 N. 10th Ave., and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 703 Henry Drive, 101 NewCastle Road, 1213 E. Boone St., 616 Lee St., 1402 S. 17th Ave., 3402 S. Center St., 2802 S. Center St.

On Monday, Jeremy Dean Davis, Homeless, was arrested for burglary-third degree and theft-second degree.
On Sunday, Mason McKay Reilly, of Ames, was arrested for theft-third degree and criminal trespass.
On Dec. 27, Taira Lynn Herrington, of South Saint Paul, Minn., was arrested for contempt-failure to pay fines.
On Dec. 27, Logan Nathaniel Bear, 203 N. Fourth St., was arrested for assault causing bodily injury.
