Lions appreciate fundraiser support
The Marshalltown Noon Lions wish to thank the 334 people who came out on a very cold and snowy Saturday morning, Feb. 1, to eat Belgian waffles. Your support of this fundraiser will make it possible to buy eyeglasses and hearing aids for those persons unable to purchase them. The upkeep and improvements to Lions Park will also benefit and Miller art students are recipients of prizes for posters they create each year recognizing the need for peace in our world from these funds.
Thanks also to Doni Sheldon and eight Marshall County Rockets 4-H members for helping serve guests.
Raffle prizes were won by Nancy Inman, Tom Moore, Gary Fulton, Bev Ruopp, David Whaley, Hollie Holdie, Monica Fulton, John Winters, Doug Cowan, Kevin Hitchins, Kirk Niehouse and Gary Cooling.
The Noon Lions appreciate the tradition that families and friends gather on the first Saturday in February to visit and spend time together while supporting their many service projects.
We hope to see you Feb. 7, 2015, at our seventh Waffle Brunch at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
