Two sex offenders escape halfway house
Police are asking the public’s help in finding two sex offenders who are at large after leaving custody of the Marshalltown Residential Facility.
Salud Castillo, 21, of Marshalltown, was last seen at the Marshalltown WalMart on Saturday. Castillo, a convicted sex offender, removed the ankle monitoring device he is required to wear, and left it at the store. Castillo was in the Marshalltown Residential Facility for being convicted on charges in 2013 of failing to comply with the sex offender registry.
Castillo is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches, 170 pounds with black hair and numerous tattoos.Castillo does have prominent tattoo on the left side of his neck that spells out Maria.V
Jesse J. Earhart, 29, of Marshalltown, on Wednesday removed his ankle monitoring device in the 500 block of North Third Avenue. Earhart was at the halfway house related to convictions in 2006 of third-degree sex abuse, third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief.
Earhart is described as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches, 180 pounds with brown hair and goatee.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of either Castillo or Earhart are asked to contact their local law enforcement authorities.
