JB Andre Rockingham, of Des Moines, made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge and a forgery charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on March 3. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Javier Guadalupe Perales, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning March 19 until the debt is paid in full.

Wayne Michael Mohon, 204 N. 21st St., made an initial appearance on a probation violation. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle his case. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Court as its docket permits. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case and Mohon is still must comply with the regulations of probation.

Citations

On Tuesday, Shelby Duff, 11 W. Grant St. Apt. #4, was cited for discharging a BB gun within the city limits.

Arrests

On Monday, Cing Suan Mang, 309 N. Third St. Apt. #7, was arrested for serious domestic assault.

On Sunday, Zachary Aaron Shutt, 613 Garland Drive, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana.

On Sunday, Heidi Jo Doyle, 202 Rainbow Drive, was arrested for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-meth-first offense, unlawful possession of prescription drugs-Clonazepam and prohibited acts.

On Tuesday, Seger Tyrone Brown, of Montour, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with official acts.

On Wednesday, Rocio Cruz, 1703 Edgebrook Drive Apt. C3, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-meth and two counts of neglect of a dependent person.

Incidents

On Tuesday, Barbara Jean Sauer, 211 W. Church St., reported the theft of a jacket, 100 nitroglycerin tablets and an Albuterol inhaler from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $289.

Accidents

On Monday, a car driven by Tanner Dale Stalzer, of State Center, was northbound in the outside lane of South Third Avenue on the viaduct when it attempted to stop at the bottom of the viaduct, began sliding and collided with the front of a car driven by Katelyn May Dubberke, 304 Bromley St. Apt. #1, which had come to a sliding stop on the icy off ramp partially out in traffic. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $2,000 each.

Feb. 10

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a HazMat release investigation with no HazMat in the 400 block of North 10th Avenue, a motor vehicle accident with injuries on South Center Street and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 512 E. Linn St., 110 N. First Ave., 101 NewCastle Road, and 206 N. First Ave.

Feb. 9

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1601 Marion St., 210 S. Ninth St., 119 E. State St., 105 Columbus Drive, and 1702 S. Seventh Ave.

Feb. 8

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a passenger vehicle fire at 1512 Greenfield Drive, and a medical assist with the EMS crew to 206 Nicholas Drive.

Feb. 7

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 2511 S. Reed Ave., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 3402 S. Center St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 407 W. Church St., 707 Highland Acres Road, 407 Sunset Lane, 402 N. 10th Ave., and 504 W. Iowa Ave.

Feb. 6

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a false alarm at 1301 Summit St., a detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 212 W. Ingledue St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 11 N. Ninth Ave., 407 W. Church St., 316 N. 16th St., 1700 S. Sixth St., and 915 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd.
