Audrey Kae Lynn Knott, of Liscomb, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a obstruction of vision rear window charge. She pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the obstructed vision charge was $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50. All payments are due within 30 days of today’s date.

Heidi J. Doyle, 602 Jerome St., made an initial appearance on a prohibited acts charge, a possession of a Schedule II controlled substance charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on March 12.

Tuesday

Giles Smith, 2552 Smith Ave., made an initial appearance on a domestic assault causing bodily injury charge. He will hire his own attorney. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on March 14. Smith was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered that if he owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition, Smith is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours and make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Jason Bell, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. He will hire Larry Johnson as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be set by the Department of Correctional Services as it calendar permits. Bell is being without bond.

Dickie Lea Medhaug, 704 S. Sixth St., made an initial appearance on a failure to stop within an assured, clear distance charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set at 9 a.m. on March 25 in Magistrate Court.

Maria Montalvo, 1509 Marion St. Apt. E2, made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a traffic control device charge, a no insurance-accident charge and a failure to have a valid driver’s license charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set at 9 a.m. on March 25 in Magistrate Court.

Rachel Berrones, address unknown, made an initial appearance through counsel, Chad Frese, on a possession of a controlled substance charge. He waived her preliminary hearing.
