Man arrested on marijuana, meth charges

A Marshalltown man who was at large for four months on drug charges has turned himself into police.

Jeremey Odom, 32, was arrested March 11 when he arrived at the Marshall County Jail; a warrant had been issued for his arrest in mid-November of last year.

Capt. Brian Batterson, of the Marshalltown Police Department, said police received a complaint of the smell of marijuana coming from an apartment at 405 W. Church St. in early November. When officers arrived they saw a man jump out the window and then spotted Odom in a nearby alley. During a search officers found 5.8 grams of marijuana, 2.3 grams of meth and a meth pipe in his sweatshirt. Following testing on the drugs, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Odom is charged with possession of meth, a Class D felony, possession of marijuana enhanced and possession of drug paraphernalia.
