Tiger freshman Lexie Biehl honored by ICCAC again

For the second time this season, Marshalltown Community College freshman Lexie Biehl has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the Tiger softball team.

Biehl helped the Tigers to a 3-2 record last week after going 11-for-18 at the plate. She corked two home runs and two doubles and drove in 15 runs while scoring eight times. MCC outscored its opponents 48-17 in the five games.

Biehl had five hits, including two home runs and a double, and drove in a career-high nine runs in a 23-1 win over Mesabi Range CC at the Minnesota Classic. Biehl followed that up by going 10-of-13 in the Tigers’ next two games, both of which ended in wins.

Biehl currently leads the ICCAC in RBIs (27), slugging percentage (.958) and ranks second in hits (27) and batting average (.562).
