Student gets hooked on reading
Lauren Wall has become a success story by her ability to read more stories.
Wall, 9, a third grader at Fisher Elementary School, has increased her ability to read this past school year by leaps and bounds.
“She struggled with reading earlier but she never gave up and now she loves it,” said Julie Trickett, Wall’s teacher at Fisher.
Wall said once she got started reading she got hooked.
“Now that I got into it I really enjoy it,” Wall said.
Aside from her progress in reading, her teacher has noticed more qualities this year that make her an outstanding student.
“Lauren has a fabulous attitude for learning,” Trickett said. “She’s an excellent role model for a lot of students. She’s had a very good year.”
