ISU’s Hogue an all-region selection
NEW YORK – Iowa State’s Dustin Hogue made the most out of his return home, and on Sunday he was rewarded for it.
Hogue was named to the all-East Region team after averaging 21 points during the Cyclone men’s basketball team’s run to the Sweet 16.
The Yonkers, N.Y., native, who transfered from Indian Hills Community College, put up a career-high 34 points in Iowa State’s 81-76 loss to Connecticut on Friday night.
UConn’s Shabazz Napier was named the most outstanding player and joined by teammate DeAndre Daniels and Michigan State’s Gary Harris and Adreian Payne on the all-region team.
