Christofferson and Logic net All-America selection

ATLANTA – Hallie Christofferson has done it again. Samantha Logic is a first-timer.

Iowa State’s senior forward and the University of Iowa’s junior point guard both were named to The Associated Press All-America honorable mention list on Tuesday.

It’s the second such honor for Christofferson, the Hamlin native who led the Cyclones with 18.4 points per game. She also averaged 7.2 rebounds per game, shot 46.1 percent from the field and was among the best free-throw shooters in the country with an 87.7 percent success rate.

She becomes just the fourth player in Iowa State history to earn multiple All-America honors, joining Chelsea Poppens, Stacy Freese and Angie Welle in that distinction.

Logic, meanwhile, is only the fifth Hawkeye ever to receive any sort of All-America status. She joins Jaime Printy, Kachine Alexander, Cara Consuegra and Amy Herrig as Iowan honorees.

Logic, a Racine, Wis., native, was the Big Ten Conference’s assists leader while averaging 13.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 7.5 assists. Iowa’s all-time assists leader finished third nationally.
