BOONE – The Marshalltown Community College softball team suffered a pair of defeats in a doubleheader for the first time in nearly two weeks, falling 6-2 and 3-0 to DMACC Tuesday in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play.

Biehl, Wilson and Blunk each had two hits in the opening game. Wilson struck out seven and walked one in the loss.

Brianna James got the game-two loss, going 2 1/3 innings. Mackenzie Gott struck out seven in 3 2/3 innings of relief, but the Tigers had just three singles offensively.
