Arrests

On Sunday, Jorge Molina-Clevas, of Houston, Texas, was arrested for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-cocaine and public intoxication.

On Sunday, Alberto Corona, 712 E. Main St., was arrested for failure to affix a drug tax stamp and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-cocaine with the intent to deliver.

On Saturday, Neil Kenneth Roberts, of Le Grand, was arrested for public intoxication.

On Saturday, Rafael Barboza, 311 N. 14th Ave., was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana-enhanced.

On Friday, Rosalva Castellanos, 212 Pleasantview Road, was arrested for driving under suspension and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana.

On Friday, Juan Miguel Sandoval, 303 S. Fifth St., was arrested for failure to affix an Iowa Drug tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana-enhanced and two counts of child endangerment without injury.

On Friday, Jesus Angel Estrada, 211 W. Church St., was arrested for public intoxication.

On Monday, Blake Edward Hartzell, 302 S. Second Ave. Apt. #5, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.

On Monday, Tyler Jay Pollock, 201 N. Third St., was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.

On Monday, Kari Ann Gavagan, 304 1/2 W. State St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-methamphetamine.

On Monday, Helle Leann Neville, 304 1/2 W. State St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance-hydrocodone, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-meth with the intent to deliver and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.

On Monday, David Mikel Robbins, 304 1/2 W. State St., was arrested for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-meth with the intent to deliver, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana with the intent to deliver, two counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp and promoting gatherings where drugs are used.

On Monday, Cesar Victor Castellanos, 402 N. Fourth Ave., was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.

On Monday, Dam Mung, 309 N. Third St. Apt. #2, was arrested for serious domestic assault and two counts of child endangerment without injury.

On Sunday, Richard Wayne Samora, Homeless, was arrested for carrying weapons.

On Sunday, Terry Eugene Brown, 428 Swayze St. Apt. #2, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana-enhanced.

Accidents

On Friday, a vehicle driven by Jeffery John Cline, 1948B Taylor Ave., was northbound on South Third Avenue approaching the intersection with Anson Street on a flashing red light when it stopped then continued forward and collided broad-side with a car driven by Andrea Marie Dobbins, 1015 Broadmore Drive, east on Anson Street with a flashing yellow light at the intersection. No injuries were reported. Cline was cited for failure to obey a flashing red stop signal. Damage to the Cline vehicle was estimated at $1,500 while the Dobbins car received an estimated $2,000 in damage.

Citations

On Monday, Blake Edward Hartzell, 302 S. Second Ave. Apt. #5, was cited for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana-enhanced.

On Saturday, Janie Earlene Stackhouse, 503 N. Third St. Apt. #5, was cited for simple assault.

Arrests

On March 30, Craig Henningsen, age 44, of Independence, was arrested at the intersection of Highway 175 and T-55 and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense. He was released on promise to appear.

On March 28, Travis Davis, age 23, of Wellsburg, was arrested in Wellsburg on a Hardin County warrant charging him with failure to serve a jail sentence. He was released to Hardin County authorities.

Accidents

On Thursday, a Jeep driven by Akbar Khan, age 32, of Ames, was eastbound on Highway 20 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway from the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Khan Jeep was estimated at $5,000.

On April 1, a car driven by Jack Byler, age 85, of Green Bay, Wis., was eastbound on Highway 20 when the driver fell asleep at the wheel causing the car to enter the median where it rolled onto its top. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Byler car was estimated at $3,500.

On March 30, a vehicle driven by Gerald Tupper, age 32, of Beaman, was northbound on J Avenue when it went through the stop sign at the intersection with 270th Street, went out of control and entered the north ditch where it came to rest. No injuries were reported. Tupper was cited for possession of a controlled substance, failure to obey a stop sign and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in lieu of bond. Damage to the Tupper vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

On March 30, a car driven by a 15-year-old female from Cedar Falls was westbound on Cedar Street in Dike approaching the intersection with First Street when instead of pushing the brake pedal she hit the gas pedal and collided with a vehicle driven by Andrew Thalacker, age 51, of Dike, which was traveling north on First Street. No injuries were reported. The juvenile was cited for failure to obey a stop sign. Damage to the juvenile’s car was estimated at $9,000 while the Thalacker vehicle received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

On March 28, a vehicle driven by Lindsi Clark, age 30, of Holland, was westbound on 160th Street at the intersection with Highway 14 when it pulled away from the stop sign and collided with a Bluebird school bus driven by Cory Goetsch, age 32, of Parkersburg. No injuries were reported. Clark was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign. Damage to the Clark vehicle was estimated at $9,000 while the school bus received an estimated $8,000 in damage.

On Monday, March 24, a semi driven by Justin Koons, age 28, of Arlington, was northbound on T-19 approaching the intersection with D-17, stopped partially in the intersection and initiated backing up at which time it collided with the front of a vehicle driven by Lauren Whitman, age 19, of Wellsburg. No injuries were reported. Koons was cited for failure to have insurance, operation without registration and unsafe backing on the highway. Damage to the Whitman vehicle was estimated at $2,600.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 206 Nicholas Drive, 117 W. Main St., and 1407 W. Linn St.

April 1

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 308 E. Boone St., 410 W. Meadow Lane, 906 N. Fifth Ave., 709 Noble St., and 1308 Woodbury St.

March 31

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident at 1706 Governor Road, and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 900 S. Sixth St., 616 Jerome St., and 304 W. South St.
