Citations

On Monday, Blake Edward Hartzell, 302 S. Second Ave. Apt. #5, was cited for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana-enhanced.

On April 5, Janie Earlene Stackhouse, 503 N. Third St. Apt. #5, was cited for simple assault.

On Monday, David Thomas Warnell, 1807 W. Main St., was cited for driving while barred.

On Wednesday, Lucio Gutierrez, 501 W. South St., was cited for driving while barred.

Arrests

On Monday, Blake Edward Hartzell, 302 S. Second Ave. Apt. #5, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.

On Monday, Tyler Jay Pollock, 201 N. Third St., was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.

On Monday, Kari Ann Gavagan, 304 1/2 W. State St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-methamphetamine.

On Monday, Helle Leann Neville, 304 1/2 W. State St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance-hydrocodone, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-meth with the intent to deliver and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.

On Monday, David Mikel Robbins, 304 1/2 W. State St., was arrested for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance-meth with the intent to deliver, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana with the intent to deliver, two counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp and promoting gatherings where drugs are used.

On Monday, Cesar Victor Castellanos, 402 N. Fourth Ave., was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.

On Monday, Dam Mung, 309 N. Third St. Apt. #2, was arrested for serious domestic assault and two counts of child endangerment without injury.

On Sunday, Richard Wayne Samora, Homeless, was arrested for carrying weapons.

On Sunday, Terry Eugene Brown, 428 Swayze St. Apt. #2, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana-enhanced.

On Monday, Benjamin Lawrence Hibbs, 1010 Fremont St., was arrested for two counts of assault on a peace officer.

On Monday, Aaron Olin Shaffer, of Greeley, Colo., was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

On Wednesday, Lucio Gutierrez, 501 W. South St., was arrested for driving while barred.

On Wednesday, Kathleen Linny Metivier, of Nevada, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, Steven Ray Lund, 609 N. 16th St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, Bradley Wayne Harrell, 106 S. First St. Apt. #3, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Incidents

On Monday, an employee with Spahn & Rose Lumber, 110 W. Madison St., reported BB gunshot damage to a 5 foot by 6 foot window. Estimated value of damage was $400.

On Thursday, Channing Williams, 201 N. 13th Ave., reported the theft of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $8,000.

Accidents

On Tuesday, April 8, car driven by Tamara Jo Fisher, 1704 Edgebrook Drive Apt. #4, was eastbound through the alleyway exiting onto South Second Avenue when it collided with a pickup driven by Lori Anne Gardea, 405 Terry Terrace, which was traveling north on Second Avenue. No injuries were reported. Fisher was cited for unsafe entry onto a highway. Damage to the Fisher car was estimated at $3,000 while the Gardea pickup received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

On Saturday, April 5, a minivan driven by Alicia Ann Hernandez, 432 Union St., was exiting a private driveway at 509 S. Fourth St., when it struck a legally parked vehicle in an adjoining driveway at 511 S. Fourth St. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $3,000 each.

On Wednesday, April 9, a minivan driven by Vanessa Lee Jongma, 213 Plaza Heights Road, was merging into traffic in the 100 block of West Main Street when it collided with a pickup driven by Reynaldo Haro, 206 Marion St., which was traveling west on Main Street. No injuries were reported. Jongma was cited for unsafe starting of a stopped vehicle while Haro was cited for no insurance. Damage to the Jongma minivan was estimated at $2,000 while the Haro pickup received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two outside rubbish fires at 1802 S. Seventh Ave., and 505 N. 15th St., and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 11 W. Grant St., 412 E. Church St., and 3120 S. Second St.

Tuesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a natural vegetation fire at 1212 W. Anson St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 111 N. Seventh St., 303 Nicholas Drive, 514 E. Olive St., 202 N. Second Ave., and 101 W. Iowa Ave.

Monday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 205 N. Fourth Ave., 1500 Lincoln Towers Circle, 303 S. First St., 703 S. 12th Ave., and 304 1/2 W. State St.

Sunday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a trash or rubbish fire at 411 1/2 S. Second St., three outside rubbish fires at: 102 S. 16th St., 1705 Country Club Lane, and 313 N. 15th St., a detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 107 W. State St., a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 1301 Summit St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to the 500 block of South Fourth Street and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1307 Larkfield Court, 50 LaFrentz Lane, 908 E. Main St., 6 S. Fifth Ave., 212 W. State St., and on Lincoln Way Road.

April 5

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an outside rubbish fire at 2001 Blossom Lane, an extrication of victims from vehicle at 1800 Zeller Ave., and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 111 N. Fourth Ave., 907 W. Boone St., 211 W. Olive St., 2802 S. Center St., 609 E. Main St., and 2204 S. Fifth Ave.

April 4

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 915 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd., 604 Walters Circle, 609 E. Main St., and 101 NewCastle Road.

April 3

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 2901 S. Second St., 610 W. State St., 2305 S. Center St., 1 E. Main St., 1301 Summit St., 610 W. Main St., 2802 S. Center St., and 2907 S. Sixth St.

Arrests

On Monday, Gavin Lee Slifer, of Liscomb, was arrested for failure to serve a jail sentence.

On Monday, Jonathan Miguel Hipolito, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #109, was arrested for failure to appear.

On Sunday, Jose Luis Romo, of Tama, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

On April 5, Zachary Tyler McDivitt, 1004 May St., was arrested for aggravated interference with official acts and public intoxication.

On April 3, Joni Ilene Mauskemo, of Montour, was arrested on Marshalltown Police Department warrants for two charges of shoplifting.

On April 3, Isaac Yepez-Alvarez, 106 N. 11th Ave., was arrested for driving under suspension.

On April 2, Stephen Scott Prusha, 2552 Smith Ave., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for a trial.

On April 1, Jason Micheal Slattum, of Story City, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, no valid driver’s license and improper rear lamps.
