Robert James Doran, 909 Jackson St., made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on May 13 in Magistrate Court. Doran will represent himself before the court. Doran was released on his own recognizance.

Tom Wall, of State Center, made an initial appearance on a contempt of court for failure to complete a batterer’s education program. The court appointed Jeffrey Hazen as counsel. The contempt hearing is set for 10:15 a.m. on May 7. Wall was released on his own recognizance.

Aaron Dolash, 903 N. Fourth Ave., made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge and on a warrant for pre-trial violation. Alex Grasso will continue as counsel for the pre-trial violation. Dolash pleaded guilty on the theft-fifth degree and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning May 15 until the debt is paid in full. His next upcoming court dates are a pre-trial conference at 1:30 p.m. on May 2 and a jury trial at 9 a.m. on May 8. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety for the pre-trial violations.

Craig Allen Bresnahan, of Newton, made an initial appearance on a theft-fourth degree charge. He will represent himself before the court. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on May 5. Bresnahan was released on his own recognizance.

Krystal Diana Diver, 301 S. Fourth Ave. Apt. #4, made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75 plus restitution if applicable. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning May 15 until the debt is paid in full or in lieu of the fine and surcharge she may do 12 hours of unpaid community service plus pay the law enforcement surcharge and court costs to be completed by Aug. 15.

Steven Eugene Hunt, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a contempt of court for failure to complete a batterer’s education program. The court appointed Jeffrey Hazen as counsel. A contempt hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. on May 7. Hunt was released on his own recognizance.

Thursday

Brandon Michael Shetler, 2014 Skyline Drive, made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. He will hire his own attorney. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on May 6. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

Cheri Mora (Jensen), 6 S. Sixth St., made an initial appearance on a rabies vaccination violation charge and a dog at large charge. She pleaded guilty to both charges and was fined $65 each with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 on each charge, due within 30 days of today’s date.

Ricky Dale Harms, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a warrant charging him with failure to appear at a plea hearing. Norma Meade will continue as counsel. His next court date is the plea hearing set at 1 p.m. on April 28. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Tanya E. Perry, 411 1/2 S. Second St., made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on May 6. Perry was released on her own recognizance.

Rachelle L. Mann, 402 E. Boone St. Apt. #2, made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on May 6. Mann was released on her own recognizance.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a medical assist with the EMS crew to 501 Thomas Drive.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two medical assists with the EMS crew to 508 E. Anson St., and 305 Sharon Ave.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 209 N. Fifth Ave., a smoke detector activation-no fire, unintentional at 25 W. Main St., a steam, vapor, fog or dust thought to be smoke in the 100 block of East Lincoln Street and eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 13 E. Ferner St., 1703 Brookside Drive, 1208 W. State St., 708 Noble St., 1500 Lincoln Tower Circle, 504 1/2 N. First St., 512 Westwood Drive, and 209 N. Fifth Ave.

Monday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a hazardous condition at 402 E. Boone St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 3202 S. 12th St., 110 Palmer St., 2005 Wardview Drive, and two calls to 101 NewCastle Road.
