On April 18, Robert Wayne McWilliams, 707 Woodbury St., reported the theft of a Troy-Bilt garden tiller from 613 W. Boone St. Estimated value of loss was $400.

On Sunday, Arturo Sanchez, 104 Harmony Drive, was cited for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

On April 18, Ryan Roop, 1009 May St., was cited for simple assault.

On Sunday, Arturo Sanchez, 104 Harmony Drive, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

On Sunday, Jay Shannon Bear Jr., of Tama, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Sunday, Gregory Curtis Newsome Jr., of Tama, was arrested for possession of Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana.

On Sunday, David Sanchez, 307 N. Second Ave., was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana.

On Sunday, Lual Kong Tuguor, 604 Jerome St. Apt. #3, was arrested for child endangerment without injury and serious domestic abuse assault.

On April 18, Ardis Allen, 308 E. Boone St. Apt. #8, was arrested for assault, harassment-first degree and carrying weapons.

On April 18, Monique Lynn Woodsmall, 9 W. Grant St. Apt. #3, was arrested for carrying weapons.

On April 17, Lucas John Hoppman, of North Galena, Ill., was arrested for public urination and public intoxication.

Accidents

On April 17, a car driven by Tyler Joseph Sunkle, of Eldora, was westbound on Marion Street when it entered Highway 14 from the stop sign into the path of a pickup driven by Shane Michael Arment, 635 W. Lincoln Way, and the two collided. No injuries were reported. Sunkle was cited for no insurance and failure to obey a stop sign and yield right of way. Damage to the Sunkle car was estimated at $1,000 while the Arment pickup received an estimated $2,500 in damage.

On April 17, a car driven by Cynthia Sue Soderberg, 308 N. Seventh St., was stopped at the stop sign on Frontage Road at the intersection with Merle Hibbs Boulevard and as it slowly moved forward to cross Merle Hibbs it collided with a car driven by Pauline Eva Jones, of Grinnell, which had just turned left onto Merle Hibbs from Highway 14. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Soderberg car was estimated at $1,500 while the Jones car received an estimated $2,500 in damage.

On April 17, a car driven by Carol Ann Pritchett, of Albion, was exiting the Walmart parking lot onto South Center Street attempting to go south when it collided with a car driven by Heather Lee State, 503 N. Third St. Apt. #10, which had been partially obscured by another vehicle. State was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with possible injuries while Pritchett was possibly injured, but not transported. Pritchett was cited for failure to yield upon left turn. Damage to the Pritchett car was estimated at $2,500 while the State car received an estimated $5,500 in damage.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a good intent call to 3202 S. 12th St., an unauthorized burning at 700 Larkfield Court, a dispatched/cancelled en route to South Center Street, an outside rubbish fire at 1505 Brentwood Terrace, a system malfunction at 212 E. Ingledue St., and eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1503 Woodbury St., 710 Woodbury St., 201 N. Second Ave., 202 N. 27th St., 711 Noble St., 1702 S. Seventh Ave., 316 N. 16th St., and 1905 Bailey Drive

Saturday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 1907 S. Fourth Ave., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 102 S. 11th St., 1702 S. Seventh Ave., 312 W. High St., and on Lincolnway.

April 18

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three outside rubbish fires at: 1700 E. Olive St., 313 N. 15th St., and 403 N. 15th St., an extrication of victims from vehicle on East Main Street, a passenger vehicle fire on North Fourth Street and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 414 W. South St., 509 Friendly Drive, 1602 S. Second Ave., 304 Melody Lane, 308 E. Boone St., and 2306 S. Third Ave.

April 17

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an outside rubbish fire at 1904 S. Fifth Ave., two motor vehicle accidents with injuries at 2800 S. Center St., and 1900 Zeller Ave., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 312 E. Main St., an alarm system activation, no fire-unintentional on North Seventh Avenue and nine medical assists with the EMS crew to: 307 S. Second St., 1106 Summit St., 1102 W. Iowa Ave., 519 N. Third St., 402 N. 10th Ave., 707 N. Fourth Ave., 703 Henry Drive, 630 Ratcliffe Drive, and 1500 Lincoln Tower Circle

Arrests

On April 17, Jessica Lynn Johnson, of Burnside, was arrested for failure to appear.

On April 16, Thomas James Wall, of State Center, was arrested for contempt of court for failure to complete a batterer’s education program.

On April 15, Steven Eugene Hunt, of Woodard, was arrested for contempt of court.

Accidents

On April 16, a car driven by Christine Dianne Erwin, of State Center, was eastbound on 235th Street partially in the westbound lane when it sideswiped a car driven by Max Dewayne Howard, of State Center, which was traveling west and had just crested a hill. No injuries were reported. Erwin was cited for driving under suspension and driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway. Damage to the Erwin car was estimated at $500 while the Howard car received an estimated $2,500 in damage.
