Noon Kiwanis discuss potential projects

The Kiwanis Club of Marshalltown “Noon” held its weekly luncheon meeting Tuesday at the American Legion Hall, 1301 S. Sixth St.

President Linda Dodd Smith called the meeting to order. Dorothy Rider introduced her daughter Nancy as her guest. Happy Dollars was donated by Mike Gowdy, Dorothy Rider, Laurel Phipps and Cecil Buschbom.

The board of directors approved monthly reports and discussed possible projects. It was noted that two campers from West Marshall have been approved to attend Camp OK in June.

Next week Fred Wyngarden, a member of P.M. Kiwanis, will present a program about SS South American Queen of the Great Lakes. The Queen was a luxury passenger steamship.

Donations of $11 were collected for the Under Privileged Children’s Fund.
