You get what you vote for
As we move into the mid-term elections we will hear all kinds of stories and promises from the candidates. You will have to decide what you think is best for you.
Do you want a minimum wage job or a job with a good income and a chance for job growth?
The Constitution (paraphrased) says all people are created equal and they have a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The word we should consider is “pursuit.” Nothing said you would ever attain your goal for happiness, you just have the right to pursue it. The choice you have to make is how you are going to handle that word. We all have 24 hours a day to pursue our goal for happiness. What are you going to do with your 24 hours?
We need good jobs and economic growth in our country and the Democrat Party “will not” provide them for you. The Democrat Party will try to convince you about how good you have it “under their control.” If you believe them and want nothing better – good luck. For those of you that would like to do better the Republican Party, if you elect them, will provide a better chance for you to continue your pursuit of happiness by removing many restrictions and taxes on small businesses to allow them to grow and hire more workers.
We will always have people that need help and we should do what we can to help get them out of that situation. Food stamps, housing allowances, free cell phones, health care subsidies etc. will not last forever and that’s the reason for good jobs and economic growth. There are no “free lunches.” You also can’t make a poor man rich by making a rich man poor.
Bruce Braley passed Obamacare (along strict party lines, behind closed doors) and we are all going to pay for it one way or the other.
The choice is yours, remember, you will get what you vote for.
