Letter Carriers Food Drive a success

The Emergency Food Box and Salvation Army would like to thank everyone who generously donated to the successful Letter Carriers Food Drive that was held May 10. This year a total of 5,614 pounds of food items was collected for the Salvation Army and the Emergency Food Box. We are truly grateful for this response!

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Marshalltown city and rural letter carriers for their extra work in collecting and handling those donated food items; our special thanks to letter carrier, Sandy McRill, who organized this project; and to everyone whose hard work made this drive possible.

It’s due to each of you in our community, your generous demonstration of care and concern, that the emergency hunger needs of persons in Marshall County continue to be met. We are truly most gratified by all your support and help. Many thanks!
