Daughter assaults mother

A Marshalltown woman who allegedly hit and pulled her mom’s hair is charged with serious domestic assault and child endangerment.

Amanda J. Lewis-Paigly, 29, was arrested Wednesday night, at a home on the 400 block of East Southridge Road that she shares with her mother.

Capt. Brian Batterson, of the Marshalltown Police Department, said the victim was upset because Lewis-Paigly ate all the food in their apartment.

Lewis-Paigly pushed the victim, pulled her hair and hit her on the nose, Batterson said.

During the incident, the victim’s 6-year-old granddaughter was watching outside of the door, Batterson said.

The incident left the victim with red marks on her nose, but she did not require medical attention.
