Eldora – June Priske, of Eldora, died June 19, 2014, at Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born September 1, 1932, to Benton and Annetta Larsen in Coulter, Iowa. She graduated from CAL Community Schools.
June married Bernard (Bud) Priske on July 5, 1952. To this union came 4 children. June worked at Dodger Manufacturing until her retirement. June’s passion for her family went beyond anyone’s expectations. Her faith and strong work ethic will be something no one will forget. Her passion for baking, gardening, and decorating was evident to all who knew her. Her family looked forward to the box of baked goods that arrived during the holidays. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and doing latch hook. June was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Women’s Fellowship, and First Congregational United Church of Christ.
June is survived by her husband Bernard Priske; children, Denise (Jeff Yanak) Mesenbrink, Annette (Rick) Hebert, Tom (Deb) Priske, Greg (Dee) Priske; grandchildren, Brandi (Mike) Youngkin, Krystal Mesenbrink, Emily Priske, Jonathan Priske, Kayleigh Priske, Nina Priske, Nicole Hebert, Amanda Hebert; great-grandchildren Daryl Olivia Youngkin and Michael Oliver Youngkin; siblings, Margie (Jim) Irving, Elaine (Clyde) Parks, Bruce (Kathy) Larsen. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law Darrell Mesenbrink
Services will be held on Monday, June 23 at 10:30 am at First Congregational United Church of Christ, with Reverend Corey Larson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm at Creps-Abels Funeral Home on Sunday, June 22. Burial will take place at Eastlawn Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family.
