ELGA starts season with hole prizes
The Elmwood Ladies Golf Association opened its season with hole prizes on May 13 at Elmwood Country Club.
Liz Adams was the big winner of the day, claiming three hole prizes for longest drive on No. 1, closest third shot on No. 7 and longest putt on No. 9.
Judy Williams sunk the longest putt on No. 2, Marie Watt scored the shortest drive prize on No. 4, Share Miriovsky claimed longest putt honors on No. 5, and Kileen Rizac came away with the longest drive on No. 8.
In the four-gal best shot event on May 20, the team of Heidi Mann, Margaret Fehrle, Wanda Evans and Megan Godfrey shot a 1-over-par round to win the day’s top honor. Three teams tied for second place, one shot back.
