Children removed from a Marshalltown house full of drugs
Two toddlers were removed from a house that had methamphetamine, marijuana, water bongs and pipes on the floor.
Ricky Hawkins, 38, of Marshalltown, was arrested Tuesday afternoon when the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at his house, 3202 S. 12th Street Lot 89, inside the Sunset Trailer Court.
Sgt. Joel Phillips, with the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force, said when they entered in the trailer several people were inside and had drugs or were participating in drug transactions.
Hawkins’s 4-year-old and his girlfriend’s 2-year-old, who were inside the home, were removed and taken to temporary foster care.
A half an ounce of meth, less than a gram of marijuana, $550 cash, scales, baggies and pipes were seized from the home, Phillips said.
Hawkins is charged with two counts of child endangerment, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Terry Angle, 26, of Marshalltown, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and violation of a drug tax stamp.
Anthony Ratliff, of Garwin, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Micheala Shrimplin, 32, of Marshalltown, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
