‘Snoopy!!! The Musical’ Opens July 17 on the Old Creamery’s Main Stage

AMANA – “Snoopy!!! The Musical,” opens July 17 and runs through August 10 on the Old Creamery’s Main Stage, with shows at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturday nights.

It’s the world according to Snoopy! Come join Charlie Brown, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Linus, Woodstock, and Sally as they celebrate the wisdom of Charles Schultz and the world’s most famous Beagle in this delightful musical that’s fun for the whole family.

The show is based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schulz Book by Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates, Warren Lockhart, Arthur Whitelaw and Michael L. Grace Music by Larry Grossman, lyrics by Hal Hackady. Originally produced by Arthur Whitelaw, Michael L. Grace and Susan Bloom. Originally directed by Arthur Whitelaw.

The cast includes Morgan Amiel Faulkner, of St. Louis, Mo., Ryan Gaffney, of Chicago, Ill., Jeff Haffner, of Cleveland, Ohio, Elijah Jones, of Iowa City, Joshua Jones, of Greensboro, N.C., Sara Kenny, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jillian Kuhl, of Hazel Green, Wis. Live musicians includes: Shari Rhoads, of Coralville, on piano; Jeanette Welch, of Iowa City, on bass; and Aaron Wells, of Iowa City, on drums.

Tickets are $28 for adults and only $10 for kids ages 5 to 18. A reminder that “Snoopy!!! The Musical” is a part of the regular Main Stage season, and that means children ages 5 and older are welcome to attend.
