Man in critical condition after accident
A man was life-flighted to Des Moines after his car rolled over during a one-car accident in rural Marshall County.
Nathanael Sletten, 24, of Marshalltown, was sent to Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center, at about 11:30 p.m., Saturday, after the accident on the 2300 mile of Marshalltown Boulevard, but was later transferred to Des Moines for serious head injuries.
Burt Tecklenburg, chief deputy of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, said Sletten lost control of his car, rolled over several times before landing in the north ditch off the road
Sletten was listed in critical condition, Tecklenburg said.
Passenger Caleb Hargrave, 25, of Marshalltown, had minor injuries and was treated then released from Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.
The accident is still under investigation.
